“Paper Lanterns,” a documentary about American POWs who died in the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, records the painstaking efforts Shigeaki Mori, who over 35 years conducted interviews and gathered information on the 12 prisoners. The film focuses on one of the 12 in particular, Normand Brisette,/a POW who died at the age of nineteen. TIFO supported production of the film in 2015.

“Paper Lanterns” met a warm response in the U.S., and in order bring it to a wider audience the Japan Society of Boston extended screenings to include New York, Colorado, Massachusetts and California.
